Here, I provide an updated list of my academic research papers:
Benjamin Hertzsch, Job Feldbrugge, Maé Rodriguez, Rien van de
Weygaert: “A New Recipe for Caustic Pancakes: On the Reality of
Walls in the Cosmic Web”, JCAP (2026), vol 2.
Preprint at arXiv:2510.02419.
Have a
look at the additional
materials page for animations and supplementary visualisations
accompanying the paper!
Benjamin Hertzsch, Job Feldbrugge, Rien van de Weygaert: “Galaxy Populations in the IllustrisTNG Caustic Skeleton” (2026), preprint at arXiv:2604.18209.
During my PhD, I have presented my research at a few international cosmology conferences / workshops:
EXCOSM Workshop - Mapping and Probing the Cosmic Web (Groningen, 2026)
DarkMap — Mapping the Dark Universe (Budapest, 2025)
Cosmology from Home (online, 2025). talk available here
Relativistic Effects and Novel Observables in Cosmology (Geneva, 2024)
Cosmology from Home (online, 2024). talk available here

I am a co-developer of the PhaseSpaceDTFE.jl julia package for evaluating multistream density and velocity fields from cosmological N-body simulations. The code is hosted at this repository and registered with the DOI 10.5281/zenodo.16637560. Have a look at the documentation if you’re interested in using the code in your own research, and do not hesitate to reach out to the developers if you have any questions!
